The Native PTAC also provides training classes, seminars, conferences and trade shows. In addition the Native PTAC has customized software to identify wide-ranging bid and contracting opportunities with government agencies.

About Native PTAC

The Native American Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) helps individual and tribally owned Native firms to become more successful in contracting with federal, state and local governments.
The Native PTAC does this by providing one-to-one assistance with government certifications and registrations, interpretation of solicitations, bid/proposal reviews, marketing advice, and contract performance support for designated socio-economic programs.

Native PTAC Mission

The Native American Procurement Technical Assistance Center's mission is to maximize the number of capable Native-owned companies participating in the government marketplace by:

  • Providing knowledge and information in understanding the requirements of government procurement activities;
  • Making available marketing know-how they need to obtain and successfully perform federal, state, and local government contracts; and,
  • Supporting government agencies in reaching and working with the Native-owned firms they seek.

To be eligible for services from the Native PTAC, companies must be:

  • A for-profit concern
  • 51% Native-owned, individual or tribal enterprise
  • Located on or near a federally recognized reservation
  • Located in areas served by the Seattle, WA, Portland, OR or Juneau, AK offices of the Bureau of Indian Affairs

United Indians of All Tribes Foundation

The Native PTAC is program under the United Indians of All Tribes Foundation. United Indians is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in Seattle, Washington in 1970. The mission of United Indians is to foster and sustain a strong sense of identity, tradition, and well-being among the Indian people in the Puget Sound area by promoting their cultural, economic, and social welfare. This is accomplished through the development and operation of educational, social, economic, and cultural programs and activities benefiting local Native Americans, and by maintaining a strong link with Indian tribes and other urban Indian organizations and their allies throughout the State of Washington.

The purposes of United Indians are:

  1. To acquire support for, design, create, operate, and perpetuate an Indian Cultural-Educational Center as a place where Native Americans can preserve and advance their diverse cultures, and educate people about historical and contemporary Native Americans.
  2. To support the sovereignty of Native American Tribes and preserve their cultural and economic independence.
  3. To improve the social, educational, economic, and cultural well-being of Native Americans.
